CSESoc Linux Installfest

Tuesday, March 6, 6:00pm - 7:30pm in the K17 seminar room.

Not sure how to install Ubuntu? Want to know what this ‘Linux’ thing is all about? Look no further than the annual CSESoc Linux Installfest!

In this workshop, we'll walk you through the process of installing (on your own laptop) Ubuntu 16.04, the most popularly used distribution of Linux. You'll be ready for your first COMP course or your own personal development projects in no time!

Please note that MacBook users can already use most development utilities through OS X, and thus do not need Ubuntu to get started in their COMP courses (but you’re free to come along anyway).
