Pizza, Networking, and Web Engineering 101 with Freelancer

Web Engineering 101: Building software for 25 million global users There's this new thing called the internet. Freelancer's marketplace on it connects millions of employers to freelancers across the globe, and every day thousands of jobs are described, bid on, negotiated, and managed through the site.

A site like this with a high number of concurrent users poses many engineering challenges, and it is down to the engineers to build the systems and software that scale for this purpose.

In this talk, you will hear how Freelancer engineers face these problems from a few different perspectives, wrapped up in an overview of scalable web engineering.

Quantium Tech Talk: Batch Data Processing to Real Time Streaming

CompClub Semester 2 Weekly Workshops

From Monday August 28, 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Semester 2 is here and CompClub is aiming to run 3 weekly workshops for high school students. Starting week 6 we have Intro to python (Mondays), intro to circuitry - Arduino (Tuesdays), intermediate python (Wednesdays) 5pm - 7pm. More details in the form.

If you're interested in mentoring students or presenting material, sign up here.

All hours spent in these workshops go towards AHEGs and FREE food is provided on each of the weekly workshop for all members. (typically pizza shaped)
