It’s time to Carpe Diem and join CSESOC, CEVSOC, MATSOC, and MECHSOC in our quest to seek the Holy Grail (or just have a nice day out in the great outdoors!).
Join us on the 30th April for a stroll along the Hermitage Foreshore Track to soak in stunning views of Sydney Harbour, delight in some good banter, catch up with the old and make some new friends and finally kick start those fitness goals you set at New Years. Dust out your picnic mats, cricket stumps, boules, cards and bring along your scrumptious food because we’ll be having a picnic style lunch at the end of the walk.
What do I need to know?
Start of walk: 10:45am at Rose Bay Wharf
End of walk: 2:30pm at Watsons Bay Baths/ Robertson Park
Please RSVP here: goo.gl/iA66mR
There will be a group of people leaving UNSW at 9:30am and making their way to Rose Bay Wharf by bus. OR you can make your own way there and meet us at 10:45am, we’ll post transport suggestions closer to the date.
What do I need?
Sunscreen, hat and sunnies
Lunch (will not be provided), snacks
Camera to capture memories of the best hike!
Raincoat (in case of bad weather)
Something to keep you snug (ie. Hoodie)

Welcome to CSESoc First Year Camp, a fun filled weekend of challenges, trivia, camp fires, and mystery! The camp will be held at Camp Wombaroo from Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th of March, and is located approximately 2 hours south west of Sydney.
Your first mission, should you choose to accept it, is to prepare your identity for our Hero vs Villains costume party!
Take a page out of iconic comic books, movies or games, and feel free to get creative with the theme (Stack Overflow hero? Blue Screen of Death villain?). Your persona is only limited to what you can imagine (maybe even the 45th president of the USA). A mad costume will earn you mad respect, and could even win you an awesome prize!
Below we have included a packing list, including all the essentials you will need for a fun (and warm) weekend. (Include information here about departure and arrival times and locations, where to leave bags and laptops, etc) We are all incredibly excited and we can't wait to see you there! Why so serious? Come, enjoy and have fun, and let it be a weekend to be remembered!
Things to bring to camp: Heroes V.S.Villains Costume - there’ll be prizes for best costumes Clothes for 3 days - it get’s really damn cold there. Bring LAYERS. Sleeping bag (to use as a pseudo blanket) Pillow (Optional, they’re provided) Towel and Toiletries Phone charger Photo ID (for drinks^^) Sunscreen Insect Repellant (optional)
Please don’t bring: Alcohol or Illicit Substances - Alcohol will be served at camp so save those cheeky $$$. Laptops - if you have to bring your laptop to uni that day, we'll be able to store it for you safely over the weekend.
We will be sending out a survey shortly about travel preferences and Camp Wombaroo will be sending out. Please respond by 20th of March (a Monday)
We will be meeting at 2pm at Physics Lawn (near the Rd) on Friday the 24th of March. If you can’t make it (because of lectures/tutes) please reply to this email and we’ll arrange a later car for you. A few days before camp we’ll be sending out another email with more details about departure :)
Keen to meet all of you!
Kind Regards, Andrew Vo & Ofir Zeevi & the 2017 Camp Leaders
