Freelancer.com API Hackathon 2018
As the second semester draws to a close, and you lick your wounds or walk head high after final exams, you are invited to come and take part in the Hackathon of the year! There’s up to $8000 in prize money to be won and great ideas waiting to be created! The Hackathon is a part of our annual conference StartCon - the largest in Australia for startups and growth - and this year it’s based around the endless possibilities of the Freelancer.com API.
How does it work?
The Hackathon is a chance to create new and amazing apps that leverage the Freelancer.com platform and marketplace (and the army of Freelancers that use the site) through our shiny new API.
Tell me more!
- When: The Hackathon is run over the both days of the StartCon conference, on the 1st and 2nd of December
- Where: Royal Randwick Racecourse
- Who: It’s free to apply either as a team, or fly solo
- Prizes: There is up to $8,000 in prizes to be given away, including a massive $5,000 for the winning team or individual
- Food: You betcha!
Any other perks?
This is your opportunity to showcase your ability, and perhaps even gain a position with Freelancer - one of the leading tech companies in Australia. Numerous entrants have gained engineering and data science positions with us, and an entrant in 2015 is now a Senior Product Manager, and rising star in the business! As a Hackathon participant, you also get an full-access pass to all of the conference over both days. Speakers this year include the CEOs of Dribbble, Moz, and Crunchbase, CMO of Classpass, Growth Engineering manager at Pinterest, and many many more.
So grab your toolkits, albeit same ones from your finals, and come showcase your talents and have fun!
